I just created a B&N account and when I went to check out I had to put my personal information in. One thing I always look for is the little lock in the search engine next to the sites name. I did not see one at all, which made me very uncomfortable. I will not put personal info if I don't see the secured site warning. I then tried to find an option to put in a gift card to pay and I did not fine any, very disappointed. So unfortunately I will... Read more

I ordered a text book from them. A math book that was supposed to come with an online access code (you pay extra for that). They took a non-access code version, pasted a false UPC code over the real one and sent that to me (picture of that is below). Their customer service reps were outrageously bad. Did not care one bit. Wanted to charge me to send it back and charge a restocking fee. Asked to speak to a manager. She sent me a return... Read more

I found two books that were free. I clicked on them then found out that the they charged me for paperback books. I tried to cancel and the system would not let me. I chatted with them and they said they would cancel them but guess what? The orders are not canceled. The books have shipped. Nothing they can do. REALLY? They told me to just refuse them but the post office just leaves packages when you get them. They never knock and ask if... Read more

Surprise! They don't sell chargers for their older Nooks! They want you to buy a new nook! Left mine in a hotel room. B&N employees were full of excuses and misinformation. They claim they can't get the Chargers anymore from their source (?!). Don't buy a Nook unless you can afford a new one if something happens to your charger. #sleazy

I ordere a book and they asked if I would like it shipped and delivered in 4 days for $3 extra so I did and it still came 6 days later with regular shipment They are cheating customers offering this false service. And charging me for a service they had no intention on doing what was right. Will never use again. Books a million is at least a truth and honest business. Will shop there no matter what the price best time. Barns and nobles big... Read more

I preordered a paperback book in March. In July, two weeks after the release of the book, I received an email stating that they could not fulfill my order because "that is no longer scheduled for release". What they did was remove the paperback version (which has been released and is available on sites like Amazon) and replaced it with their Barnes and Noble exclusive of the item. When I called, they told me it was canceled because they had... Read more

Hadn't been to a Barnes and Noble in a long time. What a disappointment . Store needs updating, large empty areas, removed all seating. That made me the most irritated. Really, you can't even relax and read or even try to decide if you want to buy the book. It was hot too. I get the impression they don't want people in the store long. I couldn't wait to leave. Couldn't browse with books in my arms. No computers to look up information... Read more

Used to be a member. That was before Nook. 1) Used to get on- line coupons for books, no more only nook! 2) Sometimes they don't even stock the paperbacks. They want you to buy nookbooks! 3) I bought a book for my Nook to take on a trip. Downloaded sucessfully at home, but when I got to my destination I could not read my book because I do not have internet access at this location to enter my credit card info again. Thanks for nothing Barnes and... Read more

I purchased a product via the Barnes & Noble website on the 21st May. Now over a month my item has not been delivered (29 June 2016). I contacted Barnes & Noble on the 11 June, the next day they responded to my email and told me my item was not shipped until the 26 May, via International Airmail, and was not expected to arrive in Australia until the 23 June (I have never known an airline to take a month to fly from the US to Australia). I was... Read more
