No way to address account fraud!
I suspected account fraud as a NOOK was registered to my e-mail, from an automated confirmation I received. I did not purchase or register a NOOK.
I tried to log into my B&N account and the website said there was no registered e-mail address for me, despite having ordered from B&N before. I called a local store to see if they could access my B&N account. They could not. A call to customer service had a greater than 60 minute wait time!
The live chat didn't work.
When I decided to send an e-mail to B&N, I didn't even get a confirmation e-mail that my message/concern had been received. I think this is the most inept customer service I've EVER experienced.

I'm an author, I receive government benefits and so I cannot fill out a W9. SSI recipients are not required to fill out W9's or file taxes.
For this reason B&N continues to put a hold on my sales account. They refuse to fix it and will not give contact numbers.
I've contacted the B&N press through email about this in the past and recently. They still won't remove the hold.

Preferred solution: Ability to shop during published hours of operation & treated with respect as a customer! The young woman who rudely refused to help me should be taught about customer service. She needs to understand that w/o customers this is no revenue or job for her!

Hi,*for a couple of days now I haven't been able to get my vendor account verification on Barnes and Noble even though all of my banking and tax info is correct. I keep getting the following info:*We were unable to approve your vendor account because of a mismatch with your tax and bank information.Please enter the information again and resubmit for verification.
After I contacted support they told me the following:*We apologize that we were unable to approve your application, as it did not pass our vetting processes.* *We apologize that we cannot provide further information.
After I had repeatedly asked for more information as I do not know what the problem is they stopped answering my emails. I have so much stuff written down, covers drawn and everything combined into, what I think to be, quality books but for some reason B&N keeps rejecting my vendor requests even though I provide completely correct and legal information.
Please help as I do not know what the problem is, the support staff member refuses to help as well and I do not know what to do.

Your SSI is separate from any income you receive from self publishing. If you receive income from your self publishing you will owe taxes on that income.
First, that doesn't make sense. Secondly, the first time I spoke to someone at B&N they made it clear that they thought SSI recipients did taxes and they fixed the problem.
That's why, had you read the entire comment correctly, you would know they removed the holding the first time more than a year ago due to this error. I don't like it when people who think they know it all try to add their 2cents when they are guessing and don't know what information was already discussed between both parties already or they just truly don't know what they are talking about or the whole situation in its entirety and want to be acknowledged because no one else acknowledges them.
