Inability to cancel Membership Renewal

My daughter signed up for a membership while in college. We've kept the account over the years. I saw the renewal on my current credit card statement and wanted to cancel since we have rarely used it in years. I called to cancel, but they refused to cancel because I did not know which address my daughter used to open the membership. Despite being able to verify my identity, and it being on my credit card, they would not cancel the membership. I finally had to call my credit card company who disputed the charge, refunded me and blocked B&N I will never shop there again. Looks like Amazon will be my sole book provider from now on.

Your Sugarhouse store in Sugarhouse, Utah...basically South Salt Lake...on 2100 S. 1100 E (highland drive) has major problems.

At least the people who work there and manage it do. They have their public restrooms completely closed. Not just locked; closed. There is absolutely no reason for that.

I told that to a store employee, and she said, "Yes, there is." NO there is not, and I told her that. I'm PISSED!!! People have to be able to have a restroom to access...unless you want people to start having accidents on your floors. Don't you dare write back and tell me why.

There is NO good excuse. I'm sick of living with all the stupidity and STUPID PEOPLE in this country ever since the covid panic took over last year. It's insane, it makes me sick, and makes me want to leave the country.

I'm beginning to hate people. Go to *** Good way to lose customers...STUPIDITY in the employees.

Sent a damaged vinyl LP. Attempt to return for replace/refund is a total disaster. Extremely poor or no communication, less than helpful personnel, unclear/incomplete directions. Just pray they get your order right.

Express shipping is 2 to 3 days from shipping. Ordered Dec 20. Still at this very moment 12/29 still no item not delivered. And Barnes and Noble take your money and DO NOT WANT TO REFUND IT. In my opinion it's a way for them to make more money and you get you product whenever you get it. What a Deceptive way to do business. WILL NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM AGAIN. My advice google the reviews for yourself.

Barnes and Noble is a terrible experience online. Paid $18.50 for expedited shipping. Item never showed! Call and call left on hold for 30,45 mins with no human ever answering the phone. Their chat app doesnt work. Nightmare a month later out my money and still no product. I would give zero stars if it was an option. Order from Amazon!

I ordered 1 book. I got 2. And on the receipt it shows the the book that I ordered and another book,"Accidentally Wes Anderson". When, in actuality, I didn't receive that book.I got "The Ickabog". I'm really discouraged as I'm handicapped and it is helpful to be able to order on line.

Manager and staff very rude and discriminating against customers

Manager asked if I had a face mask. I said yes.

She then told it was required to be in the store. I politely said no thank you. Manager then said in a *** tone that it was private property and that she would have me removed. I said that she should not be confronting customers who are not wearing face masks.

She then picked up the phone called 911 to have the police come. I was very respectful and walked out of the store. During this time she was less than 6 inches away from me. Violating her own COVID rules of 6 feet.

I politely reminded her 911 and police have better things to do like save lives than deal with her demands.

Also my wife went over to the Starbucks in there and the Barista was also a *** My wife made a purchase and my daughter decided she wanted a rice crispy treat and my wife asked to also make another purchase and the barista smarted off and said you should have ordered that in your first order. Guess they do not like their jobs as going shopping on Amazon virtually is going to kill them off here very soon!!!

Never got to talk to anyone. Been on hold at this moment for 37 minutes and 19 seconds and still on hold. Went to Amazon and ordered same item. Very upsetting. Been 40 minutes now and I am hanging up. Ridiculous.

I will never buy anything again from this company. I waited on hold for 45 min to be told they could not change the shipping address on an item that had not even shipped out- said call back when it ships and wait on hold another 45 min- how do they stay in business replacing items that went to wrong addresses- it is absolute crap the service they are providing- covid or not. Complete incompetence.

Less than 24 hours ago I mistakenly ordered 2 copies of a book I was sending as a gift. At the time I tried both and online and by phone to get customer service, but neither were available after 9 p.m.

This morning the online was not available, but I was able to speak with a customer service representative and supervisor on the phone. I was told that I could not change anything as the order was processed and that I could not even cancel the order. If and when the order arrives at the recipient, they will have to go through the steps to return the book and after that I might get a refund. I also made a mistake in my contact phone number, but they refused to correct that.

Many of us are not used to ordering online, but due to covid are forced to utilize it. You would think that an order could be fixed 12 hours later.

I will never buy from Barnes and Noble again.
