My daughter received a textbook that she ordered on Barnes and Noble. It was a loose leaf textbook that was missing 5 chapters.

I called to get a replacement or a refund, after emailing the bookstore that had sent the book, without getting a response. Barnes and Noble said I need to wait for 72 hours for the bookstore to respond, which they didn't, before contacting Barnes and Noble. I called back and then they said they would pass my problem on to the marketplace customer service rep that would contact me within 2 days. Six days later I got an email saying my daughter needed to send the book back to the bookstore (who didn't even respond to my email) and if it was returned within 30 days and in the condition it was sent ( note: 5 chapters are missing) only then would the bookstore let Barnes and Noble know they received it and only then would I get a refund.

In the meantime, my daughter has to buy a new book because she's been in class already for two weeks. I'll never order from Barnes and Noble again!! They do not care if you're dissatisfied and will not take care of the problem quickly.

They stick to a script and every little step takes a week and still there is no resolution. I have no faith I'll ever receive a refund.

Growing Up 101- Let your college age kid take care of their own business. You should have let/made her grow up and take the thing to the book store on her own.
